Oh boy. Yesterday after getting home from the seniors' fair, i had dinner then decided to take a quick nap around 10 plus,intending to wake up at 11. Ended up sleeping through the night and i only just woke up! Was feeling under the weather yesterday from sleep deprivation and from being out in the cold all night on thursday and also at the fair. But im feeling alot better now:)
Yesterday was such an unlucky day! Murphy's law was especially applicable to me:(
For starters, i woke up late for school. i dunno why my bodyclock seems to be stuck at 8am when im supposed to wake up at 7 to get to sch in time for 830 lessons!
Was rushing like mad to school and upon reaching the train platform, the train had arrived and the doors were about to close. I rushed into the train, only to end up skidding and i fell rather unglamorously. On bended knee what's more, cuz by some weird reflex mechanism, i stuck out my foot trying to break the fall. i ended up landing right on my big toe..the same one which my macbook fell on last sem, which the toe nail hasnt grown back till now!! its now a nice shade of purple. i seriously hope i won't have to wait 2 weeks like the other time before i can run again!:(
After my elective, i met evelyn so we could head down to the senior's fair together. When she saw my shirt, she suddenly started laughing and i asked her why. She was like "Why did you wear this shirt for the senior's fair??!" Then it dawned on me. This was the caption on my shirt. "If my music is too loud, you're too old!" OMG. hahaha. oh for the uninitiated, the seniors' fair is actually this fair for senior citizens, to raise health awareness and promote actvities for the aged. i wore my jacket there most of the time cuz it was quite cold and also hoping the organizers wouldnt notice my shirt, but some of the Wings association people (whom we're collaborating with) did. Embarrassing la.hahah.
The seniors' fair was alot grander than i expected. They even had a ddr (Dance dance revolution) booth and a guitar para para one as well!hahah. We went for the a talk by some doctor so that we could take some pictures. It was quite informative and entertaining i must say. ahaha. This doctor was an ex-mp and also a spokesperson for Wings. After her talk there was time allocated for q&a session and there was this 74 year old guy that kept bombarding her with questions!hahah.
For instance, she had made this point earlier on how the elderly had the capacity to still lead sexually active lives and he was like,"what if we're not married and don't have anyone to have sex with?Not easy to find you know!"omg.hahah he kept rebutting her and it was like the opposition party vs. PAP!But gotta hand it to her, she countered back really well and addressed all his concerns with aplomb, injecting some humour to diffuse the tension.
ook.we've almost completed the first part of our 111 project, but most of the work we've to do is post-event work. i quite like our idea but its helluva lot of work la.

Back from ocs dinner. The dinner itself seemed to be over in no time. i guess its cuz we arrived late...ian and his friend took ages to pick us up! ian, bailing and i decided to go as a threesome (the lucky guy!). Funnily enough, we actually met another threesome 'couple' there hahah.
The three of us went for supper at bedok after that. im glad bailing came for the dinner too. During these social nights, i feel that the girls are like accessories for the guys. i saw several girls just sitting around looking bored while their dates were mingling and drinking beer. ian was nice enough not to abandon us..most of the time anyway!heh.
Of course to a girl, such a function would not mean anything, not having gone through army personally, and so she'd be there just to show support to her date/friend. However for the guys,i guess its a rite of passage (aha CS 101!).. the dinner, the various performances, speeches(which we missed), icebreakers, watching the video clip while reminiscing about past experiences, the occasional hollers and catcalls from the audience when certain candid shots were shown, the mass photo-taking (yes guys have photowhoring tendencies too) ...One last reunion before they embark on a 6-week voyage to shores unknown.
bailing and i somehow ended up looking very chinese-new-year, me in my red dress and she in her turtle-neck like top.hahah nothing wrong with getting into the cny spirit early!
ian, that jackass, told his friends that we were his bimbo friends from the squad in school. hahaha and the funniest thing is that ian's called the bimbo in his camp too. i see his himbotic persona hasnt worn off since jc!
Anyway, pics! Sadly not many good ones cuz most were taken with flash and it made everyone(or at least me in particular) look either jaundiced or ghostly.Someone teach me photoshop!haha

arghh. im highly stressed. Lately whenever i read my fellow coursemates' blogs, they're all lamenting about how stoned/shagged/drained/exhausted they are. its week 3 and the readings and assignments are piling up alr.Hello school, hello late nights.
Last wkend was totally packed with nary a time to sit down and work. This wk will be burnt again..with ian's ocs function thursday night, eunice's baptism and going down to the seniors' fair for cs111 project on friday, Sat ive gotta go for some finance seminar that my dearest dad signed me up for, followed by tuition and then shums' and jasmine's 21st bdays. Sun will be church and Surf and Sweat dry run for pract half the day. And then there's 105 assignment to hand up during friday's 830 lecture, which means ive no choice but to attend. Think ill have to give mos a miss tomorrow night.
im not gonna make the mistakes i made in sem 1 again.
argh alright.im gonna sleep to be able to wake up for yet another 830 lecture. adios

Ah im finally back home..Gonna hibernate soon.
Been awhile since i went to changi village area..though i guess ill be going there again soon enough, this thurs in fact. Looking forward to it but the fact that ive got 830 lesson the next day keeps nagging at me. argh.will find a way to wake up somehow!
Back from changi holiday inn chalet with my g12 girls. Was a two-night thing, but i only could join them on saturday. Had a good time and also good food! ahahah for dinner last night, we had this really heeuge fish amoung other dishes..and it weighed 900g! On top of that, we ordered chilli stingray too,so that's really quite alot of fish!hurhur(pun unintended). hahah but anyway, i think jang and i ended up consuming most of the 900g one cuz it was dam nice and we eat the same things cuz we have the same preferences and taste when it comes to food. Heh.We were speculating on how heavy the fish was and we got a shock when we found out how much fish we actually ate!haha
God is really good. i thank him for his love and faithfulness and i think ive rediscovered my first love for him:)
Ok shall update more on it later. Quite stoned now alr. ta
